A 16-inch water main broke Monday night on the southbound I-85 access road between Clairmont and North Druid Hills roads. DeKalb County government spokeswoman Kristie Swink said repair work will affect traffic south of the Northeast Expressway and Briarwood, Briarcliff, Clairmont and North Druid Hills roads. Residents in the area had low flow or no water Monday evening because workers had to shut off the water to make repairs. Although the water main break did not wash out the road, the pavement will have to be dug up to make repairs.
